Details
TA 0339 BEVERLEY SATURDAY MARKET (east side) 9/330 Nos 32 to 35 (consec) 1.3.50 2.7.69 GV II C17 or earlier, with C18 brick front. Probably timber-framed. Two storeys in painted brick. Parapet has lost its former wood cornice (see old drawings). Fluted lead rainwater head and fall pipe in centre of property. Six windows, including two blocked, two with replaced glazing bars. Nos 32 and 33 have good bow windowed shop fronts with panelled stone bases, pilasters, reeded consoles and simple entablatures. The doors have lost their glazing bars. Nos 34 has late C18 canted shop front, simple details and original glazing to window and door. No 34's door has C18 iron latches and hinges. Inside these are various planked C18 doors with contemporary hinges and latches. Two newel stairs. Crown post trusses: crown posts have jowled bands, collar purlins and braces to tie-beams.
