CARLTON TOWN VILLAGE STREET SE 0684-0784 (south side) 16/94 The Mount, house and outbuildings GV II

House and 2 attached outbuildings. Early - mid C19 house; outbuildings dated 1862. Coursed rubble, stone slate roofs. 2 storeys, 3:1:2 bays. House, on left: openings have ashlar surrounds; between second and third bays, door of 6 fielded panels; 16-pane sash windows, wall on ground floor of first bay blank. Gutter brackets; shaped kneeler and ashlar coping to left; slacks at ends and between first and second bays. To right, outbuilding-under same roof, in different stone; on ground floor, chamfered ashlar segmental-arched coach entrance with star on keystone and fleury cross on stone above; above, shuttered opening to hayloft with stone surround, and above it an ashlar stone inscribed " H C " with decorative 1 8 6 2 motifs; shaped kneeler and ashlar coping to right. To right, outbuilding in same stone as 1862 outbuilding, projecting, but of lower height: ground floor from left, C20 sliding door replacing cart opening; board door in ashlar surround with impost blocks; small stable window; first-floor hayloft opening in ashlar surround.
