Hindlethwaite Hall
II
Farmhouse. Late C17-early C18. Coursed rubble, stone slate roof. L-shaped plan; two storeys, five bays, with wing to rear left and single-storey lean-to along left return of house and wing. Quoins to right. Central seven-panel door in architrave with bases, pulvinated frieze and cornice. On ashlar plaque above, inscription "AAW 1901". Two-light, flat-faced mullion windows in architraves except for matching single-light window above door. Shaped kneelers, ashlar coping. Rebuilt stack to right of door, corniced ashlar stack to right end.
Rear: stair turret in angle of main range and wing, with on each floor a two-light chamfered mullion window, the lower one blocked. Left (west) return: rear wing has blocked chamfered ashlar doorway to right and on each floor a four-light mullion window altered to form a four-pane sash; leanto, of two builds, has double-chamfered window surround, part- glazed door in quoined ashlar surround, later window and board door in ashlar surround with impost blocks.
