The Seymour Arms, (formerly listed as Seymour Arms Free House)

Inn. Mid C17 and late C19. C17 range in dressed limestone, C19
addition in English bond brick, tiled roof with alternate bands of
plain and fishscale tiles, pairs of diagonally-set brick stacks.
L-plan with C17 range at right angles to road. Two-storey, 4-
window. Door with 4 fielded panels with fanlight and canted bay
with casements to right, C19 three-light mullioned casement, canted
bay with inserted 4-panelled door, and three 2-light mullioned
casements to left. First floor has two C19 two-light mullioned
casements and two C17 mullioned casements; straight joint between
C17 and C19 builds to right of bay with door. Right return is 2-
storey, 3-window C17 front; central C20 door in chamfered stone
surround, 3-light casement either side, first floor has 2-light
recessed chamfered mullioned casement either side of 2-light
mullioned casement, gabled dormer with 2-light casement. Attached
to right is single-storey brick former garage. Rear has flat-
roofed single-storey extension to right, C20 addition to left, 2-
light casements to first floor.
Interior of C17 range retains deep chamfered compartmental ceiling
beams.
