8/252 No 18 (Rose Cottage) and Lime Tree Cottage

II Cottage. Late C17-early C18. Flint and stone chequerwork with cogged course under wallplate, thatched roof. Single storey and attic. Main block (No 18) of 3 bays with entrance at south end, and later cross wing, probably early C19, of similar construction but higher eaves, and tiled roof, at north end. Early C20 timber and glass porch. Two and 3-light timber windows, and 3 flush dormers. Brick stack between bays 1 and 2. Lime Tree Cottage consists of a C19 end bay to No 18 and 2-bay rear wing with boarded door and glazed panel in first bay of wing. Paned timber windows in openings with cambered heads. Interior has chamfered spine beam and axial stack in left bay.
