Chest tomb. Alfred Morrison of Fonthill died 1897. Large Gothic- style limestone tomb with plinth and blind arcaded panels, attached shaft corner pilasters carried up to frieze with rosettes and cornice to flat top with inscription of Gothic-style lettering. Alfred Morrison owned the Italianate Fonthill House by Wyatt and Brandon 1848/49, demolished 1921. His initials appear on several dated estate cottages, such as Nos 46-49 Bishop's Fonthill (q.v.).
