4/71 Nos. 23 and 25 - GV II
Pair of houses. C16-C17, altered. First floor has timber frame with later brick infill, ground floor rebuilt in brick C19-C20. Old tile roof, central brick chimney rebuilt C19. 2 storeys and attic, 4 bays, that to left probably a slightly later addition. Right bay is gabled to front and slightly projecting, the right side with jettied first floor. 3 bays to left have 3-light wooden windows with small panes, the central light being a horizontal sliding sash. Right bay has paired barred wooden casement to first floor flanked by small C17 2-light windows with moulded mullions and jambs and diamond leading. Similar C17 window to attic. Bay to left of chimney has stop-chamfered spine beam.
