SU 88 SE COOKHAM SPRING LANE (east side) 6/2 The Mount

II

Large country house in landscaped surrounds. Late C16, altered and extended late C19. Part timber frame with brick infill, part brick; old tile gabled roof. T-plan with 2 additional gables on right, one a stair turret; large 'Gothic' extensions to right of gables. 2 storeys and attics. Ridge chimney with cornice and clay pots. East front: gabled. Scattered C20 leaded casements. Cant bay on ground floor on left hand. Timber frame visible. West front: plinth and first-floor string. Two 2-light and two 4-light casements first floor, one 2-light, two 4-light casements ground floor. All with leaded lights. An interior inspection was not permitted at the time of survey.
