Barn. Circa late C18. Weatherboarded timber-frame on brick plinth; north wall rendered concrete blocks. Gable-ended roof clad in corrugated asbestos sheets; tiled hipped midstrey. PLAN: 3-bay barn with aisle on north side and central threshing bay with opposing cart entrances. EXTERIOR: South side has central cart entrance with sheet metal double doors. North side has hipped roof weatherboarded midstrey at centre with plank doors. INTERIOR: Timber frame largely complete. The wall and arcade-posts have jowls and straight braces to the tie-beams with queen-post trusses with vertical struts, or secondary posts, to the lower purlin ties; two tiers of clasped purlins, long straight wind-braces and common-rafters with diagonally-set ridgepiece. Wall-framing comprising close-studding without rails and with straight tension braces.
