3 terraced houses. Probably very early C19. Render replacing
stucco on probable rubble; dry slate roof with dentilled eaves
cornice; 3 hipped dormers; large brick end stacks.
Double-depth plan plus deep rear service wings, Nos 44 and 46
as mirror-image pair with central paired entrance halls and
No.42 with entrance hall on the right.
2 storeys plus attic over basement; each house a 3-window
range. Original hornless sashes with glazing bars to 1st
floor, later 2-pane horned sashes to ground floor. Pedimented
and pilastered doorways with fluted pilasters and blind
fanlights to the open pediments; panelled reveals and doors.
INTERIOR: not inspected but likely to be of interest.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: low plinth on basement walls with
wrought-iron railings with arrow-head finials.
Part of a planned late Georgian street. laid out in 1773.
