Details
WALSALL MB GOODALL STREET SP 0198 SE 16/39 Former Police Station 13.09.82 GV II Former police station. Probably 1866. Brick with stucco dressings. A symmetrical composition of three storeys, and three bays divided by rusticated pilasters. Eaves cornice, and open pediment over central bay. Windows to outer bays tripartite, with Venetian windows to second floor with elliptical arches. Central doorcase has segmental arch with keystone. Adjoins the Guildhall (qv) and forms part of a group of C19 civic buildings. (Fink, D: Walsall Guildhall, Walsall Local History Paper No 4, 1984, p 12).
