SP 81 NE WINGRAVE WITH ROWSHAM MILL LANE

8/130 Barn,wall and gate piers opposite Floyds Farmhouse

GV II

Long barn, and short wall across S.W. end with flanking gate piers. Late C19. Barn is of red brick to N.W. and weatherboard to S.E. S. end has round brick tower, the upper part half-timbered with roughcast infill, with conical roof. Old tile roofs. Slightly taller C18 block at N.E. end is of red and vitreous brick. S.E. side of barn has board doors, waggon entry, and later additions to centre. Brick wall has arched top with rounded coping on cogged base, and brick piers to right with moulded corners and panels, cornice and part of pyramidal top. To left is a pair of gate piers flanking S. entrance to Mount Tabor House. Left pier is similar but with rehuilt top, right pier is completely rebuilt. Included for group value.
