II
House. C17 with C18 and early C19 alterations and additions. Rubble with brick dressings, stone copings, wooden lintels and plain tile roof. C17 core wing at rear of C18 (extended in the early Cl9) wing at right-angles to street forming L shaped plan. 2 storeys, 5 windows to main garden front. All windows are 6 pane C19 sashes. Two 1 and 2-light dormers. Central doorway with flat stone hood on carved brackets. C19 part glazed door with flush beaded panels. End brick stacks. Rear outshut to courtyard has re-used 3-light cavetto moulded mullion with C19 casements and roadside attic window to C18 section is a 2-light ovolo mullion. Interior. Staircase of c.1800 with fluted newel post, mahogany rail and carved risers. Drawing Room to ground floor right hand has C18 fittings comprising chair rail, shutters and 2 buffet niches, one with original shelving. Also fine marble chimney piece. Dining Room to ground floor left hand has similar c.1800 features.
