2/4 Hill House Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Early/mid C17, refaced c.1800. Rubble, freestone dressings, double roman tile roofs with raised coped verges, ashlar stacks. U-plan. 2 storeys (formerly with cellar and attic); west elevation has 3 windows, all margin-glazed sashes in architraves with keystone, central 6-panel door behind C20 glazed, lean- to porch; south return elevation, first floor has four 2-light casements with ovolo-moulded mullions under hood moulds, ground floor has one 2-light casement in a chamfered surround, then a blocked door, then a 3-light window as above, gabled end of this wing has blocked single attic lights with ovolo-moulded surrounds and hood moulds. Rear of both wings has irregular fenestration which, although altered, still has 2 and 3-light ovolo-moulded mullion casements under hood moulds.
