- II
Farmhouse. C16 origin, late C16 or early C17 west block, with later alterations and additions. Rubble, rendered at front, brick, pantiled roof with north gable stack with diagonal chimney, brick south gable stack, double Roman tiled roof to north addition. Originally 2-room plan, extended to L-plan. 1½ storeys, 2 windows, small gable to left, gable end to right, each with 2-light casement, to left with timber lintel; ground floor has 3-light casement to left and gabled porch, heavy door with chamfered frame and scroll stops, strap hinges with fleur-de-lys ends. Single storey addition to right in brick and rubble with pitched roof, C19 pointed arched door and C20 window, single storey former bakehouse to left with plank door and brick gable stack. East elevation has 2 small gables, each with C20 2-light window with timber lintel, ground floor left has remains of projecting oven, 2-light and 3-light casement and C20 door, single storey C20 addition to north. Rear has small gable to north and west, to west with 2-light window with chamfered mullion and frame, blocked to north, both with timber lintel, blocked stair window to west, timber lintel remaining, ground floor has 2-light window with timber lintel to north and west, to north with chamfered mullion and frame, C20 rear addition has buttress, door and window. Interior: chamfered beams with scroll stops, passage separated from west room by fixed dresser and settle with shaped ends, door frame to east chamfered and cut back for passage of barrels, winder stair to rear of former hall, deep splayed reveals to windows.
