Church, now redundant. C13; remodelled C15 and repaired l970's. West tower;
nave; south aisle; north porch; chancel. Coursed, squared rubble; Cotswold
stone slate roofs. West tower: 4 stages with a pitched roof; diagonal
buttresses with off-sets; 2-light opening with trefoil head to the bell chamber;
embattled parapet. Nave: two 3-light windows, cusped heads to tracery, under
hood mould. North porch: pierced parapet with cusped quatrefoils; central
image niche supported on angels; C17 studded plank door with fleur-de-lys ends,
moulded doorcase. Chancel: two 3-light windows, cusped heads under square hood
moulds; 3-light east window with 4-centred head; blocked priest's door. South
aisle: three 3-light windows with cusped heads and under hood moulds; panelled
south door. Interior. C15 north door of 4 panels with reticulated tracery and
fleurons. 3 bay arcade of octagonal piers and capitals. Arch-braced roofs to
nave and aisle; embattled wall plate; cusped arch-braces to five principal
trusses which rest on corbels. Squint with rood stairs built over. Chancel:
much restored; panelled soffit to chancel arch; restored trefoil headed piscina
and remains of decorative heads to image niches on east wall. Monuments: C17,
Renaissance, columns, entablature and heavily moulded cornice; Daniels, died
1717, baroque, oval tablet between drapery, cornice and heraldry above; south
aisle, Bennet died 1756, panel in aedicule, pediment and heraldry. Vested in
the Redundant Churches Fund.
