Details
SP 9433-9533 WOBURN BEDFORD STREET (East Side) 8/85 23.1.61 No. 13 (Woburn Wine Lodge) GV II House, ground floor converted to commercial premises C19 and C20. Late C18 brick, probably refronting of earlier structure. Most brickwork laid in English bond. C20 tile roof. Main block has 4-window facade, with additional bay to LH containing carriage arch. 2 storeys. Ground floor has C20 2-bay shop-front, with 2 large bow windows flanking a recessed glazed door. First floor has 4 sash windows with glazing bars in wide moulded timber cases almost flush with wall. To LH the carriage arch has moulded timber lintel and piers. Above it the first floor brickwork is reworked in Flemish bond, and there is a small horizontal sash window. Red brick ridge stack and red brick stack at junction with rear block.
