SP 9433-9533 WOBURN MARKET PLACE (East side) 8/128 22.10.52 Nos.8 to 10 (consecutive) (The Reject China Shop), (formerly listed as No.3 High Street ) GV II House, the ground floor converted to commercial premises. Earlier C18. Red brick, the walls darker, with many vitrified bricks, the dressings lighter. Steep hipped C20 tile roof. 3 storeys. 6-bay facade, LH bay slightly broader than remaining 5. Ground floor retains one original window. First and 2nd floors each have 6 windows, although 3 of 2nd floor are blind. All are sashes with wide moulded wood cases and segmental heads, almost flush with wall. All have glazing bars and moulded sills. Gauged brick segmental arches have fluted keystones, and there are brick aprons below all sills. Ground floor has square-headed carriage arch to LH bay. 4 RH bays are taken up by later C19 canted double shop front, with moulded pilasters and cornice and central double doors. Giant order pilasters at each end support moulded cornice and deep stone-coped parapet.
