Schoolhouse, belonging with Steppingley County Primary School. Circa 1870 by Henry Clutton, probably for the Duke of Bedford. Ground floor of coursed ironstone with ashlar dressings, first floor with colourwashed plaster with applied timber frame decoration. Slate roofs. Loosely Tudor in style. 2- storeyed T-plan building with single storeyed outbuilding projecting from NE, forming overall L-plan. Main W block is jettied at first floor level. Ground floor windows, which echo those of school, are mullioned and square-headed, of 2 and 3 lights, each light with cambered arch. First floor windows are casements with glazing bars. W elevation has jettied gabled dormer. Doorway is within SE angle, under open porch with hipped slate roof. Integral chimney stacks, one to N gable, one at SE angle, both with rounded angles.
