GV
II

Circa 1840. By Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin. A rare example of Norman revival - quite alien to his normal style. Very much altered and included for the sake of the fragments of the Norman Abbey built into it. Two storeys, flint with slate roof, Bath stone ashlar quoins and dressings. 2+2 windows, left hand part altered to modern casements with drip-moulds, wide central door. Right hand part slightly taller with mullion and transom windows (only one on ground floor). Left hand part has fragment of C12 billet moulded roll, the right hand part has another small fragment. A large fragment of the Norman Abbey in garden to east.
