Details
BARLING MAGNA BARLING ROAD TQ 98 NW 12/16 1 and 2 Pear Tree Cottages II Pair of cottages. C17 or earlier with later alterations and additions. Timber framed and weatherboarded. Red plain tiled roof. Central plastered chimney stack. 2 storeys, single storey right and left lean-to extensions. 3 window range of small paned casements with fanlights, right and left doorways with simple surrounds, flat canopies on brackets. C20 gable on brackets over right doorway, vertically boarded door to left lean-to, window to right lean-to. Internal features include stop chamfered bridging joists. Jowled storey posts to ground floor. Large chimney stack now with C20 fireplace. Stairs around chimney. Vertically boarded doors with some original ironmongery. Important corner site.
