BEAUMONT-CUM-MOZE CHURCH LANE TM 12 SE 5/10 Byre approx. 75 metres west of Beaumont Hall, 29.4.52 formerly listed as Barns and outbuildings at Beaumont Hall

GV II

Byre with loft over. C18, altered in early C19. Timber framed and weatherboarded, NE wall of red brick in flemish bond, roofed mainly with handmade red clay tiles, partly with slate. Aligned NW-SE, facing NE. Early C19 single-storey lean-to extensions of red brick in Flemish bond, roofed with slate, along full length of SW side and at SE end. One storey with half-hipped gambrel roof; lower pitch of NE side slated, the remainder tiled. Clasped purlin roof. Face-halved and bladed scarfs in wallplates. Arched braces to SW wallplate.
