8/170 Barn to south west of Colville Hall GV I
C12 Barn, extensively altered in C13. Timber framed and weatherboarded with thatched half hipped roof. 8 bays long. Hipped midstrey to south. Original main posts have no jambs and are mounted on cill pads. Mid C13 posts have upstands. 4 posts of C14 have jambs. Passing braces and reversed assembly at eaves. Top plates and eaves plates have splayed and tabled scarfs with under squinted butts, and 10 face pegs. Roof rebuilt C17, with raking struts and side purlins.
