5/35 Cleatlam House
II
House. Late C18 - early Cl9 with mid C19 addition to right. Left section: hammer-dressed sandstone with dressed quoins; sandstone flag roof with ashlar stacks. Right section: dressed sandstone with rendered ground floor and roughcast first floor; Welsh slate roof with brick stack.
2-storey, 3-bay left section. Openings have flat surrounds: central part- glazed door has 6 flush panels and blind radial fanlight; five 12-pane sashes. Moderately-pitched roof has coped gables with shaped kneelers; two corniced gable stacks.
2-storey, 3-bay right section has replaced windows in flat surrounds: ground floor has two 16-pane sashes and C20 casement; first floor has 8-pane sash and flanking 16-pane sashes. Low-pitched roof has coped right gable with shaped kneeler; rebuilt ridge stack.
Rear of older part-has four 12-pane sashes and round-arched staircase window with intersecting tracery in head.
Detached outbuildings to right and rear not of special interest.
