Detached house. Probably C17, enlarged in C19 and c 1980. Original section, of L-shaped plan, has ironstone and brick walls, part plastered, thatched roof with coped gables, and plastered brick stack. C19 extension on north has colourwashed brick walls and slate roof. C20 extension on south has plastered walls and thatched roof. One storey and attics. Entrance front has lean-to porch between 2 projecting wings - this has stone slate roof and ledged door. Half-dormer over, with C20 casement. Projecting wing of original house - right of porch, has added conservatory, and small casement window in attic. Internally, 2 C17 moulded oak door frames survive. Chamfered ceiling beams in main ground floor room.
