II

Redundant church. Most of present structure c1500. North wall rebuilt late C18, chancel partly rebuilt 1859. Walls of stone and flint banding with stone details, plastered internally. Roofs now covered in corrugated asbestos, except porch which retains a stone slate roof. Nave, chancel, west tower, south porch. Upper part of tower, C18, finished with battlements. South elevation of nave has square-headed windows of c1500 with arched lights. Porch has segmental-arched doorway, and parapet to gable. East window has Perpendicular tracery with ogee-arched lights. Original chancel arch replaced by large opening in C19 brick wall. Modern light roof structure. Tower contains two bells, one medieval, one C17. Pews mainly C19 but retain some carved ends c1500. Churchyard contains some C19 monuments - none of particular interest. RCHM Monument 1
