BRADFORD ABBAS ST 5814-5914 CHURCH STREET (North side) 11/6 Churchyard Cross 7 metres north-west 31.7.61 of tower of Church of St Mary. GV I Churchyard cross. Late C15. Ham stone. Two high-stepped octagonal plinths with moulded edges. Octagonal pedestal with panelled angle-piers, moulded edge and quatrefoiled panels in four main faces, enclosing shields, patera and angel with scroll. Octagonal tapering shaft with weathered figures on the east and west faces of the Virgin and Child, and a man (? St John the Baptist), on brackets with trefoiled canopies, dowel-holes on north and south faces with remains of canopy on south face. (RCHM Dorset I, p.33(2), col.1) (sch. Monument. DORSET 157)
