- II
Detached farmhouse. Early-mid C17. Rubble stone walls, - front wall roughcast, slate roof, one brick and one stone end stack. L-shaped plan, with later single-storey lean-to at rear of main range. 2 storeys. Glazed door. Ground and first floors each have 2 casements with horizontal glazing bars. Tiled-roofed lean-to at left end. Internally, both ground floor rooms have large open fire- places with stone jambs and timber lintels. Several chamfered ceiling beams - some deeply chamfered. Rear wing probably originally dairy with cheese loft over. Probable original front door - now at rear; vertical battened type with cover fillets and large strap hinges. RCHM Monument 3.
