10/150 Apple Tree, Yew Tree and Sunny Holm
II
Row of 3 cottages dated 1878. Stretcher bond brick work with ashlar bands and dressings. Half-hipped tiled roofs with ornamental ridge tiles. Brick stacks with polygonal brick attached shafts and stone capping. Balanced, asymmetric composition with shallow projecting wings right and left. One and a half storeys, irregular fenestration. Windows have segmental pointed stone arches. 2 and 3-light casements with horizontal glazing bars. Part- glazed doors under porches formed by continuation of the roof. Ornamental barge boards. Appears to be a very early example of cavity-wall brick construction. The best example of a number of such cottages in the village.
