Suburban villa. c1910. Red brick in stretcher bond with orange-coloured brick dressings; slate roof. 2 storeys with attic; assymmetrical 3:3:2 bays, the centre bays breaking forward under pediment. In Edwardian Neo-Georgian style having plinth, raised brick quoins, ground-floor cornice, eaves band and oversailing modillioned eaves. Quoined, round-arched entrance to bay 5 with radial glazing bars to fanlight and bracketed hood. 12-pane sashes in flush wood architraves under flat brick arches with raised "keystones" and moulded aprons; narrower 8-pane sashes to narrow bay 3, and tall 24-pane stair window to bay 6. Oeuil de boeuf in keyed architrave to tympanum. Hipped roof with two swept-roofed casement dormers and tall dentilled stacks, to front roof pitch between bays 3 and 4 and to either hip. Later C20 garage addition attached to left not of special interest. Interior not inspected. The house formed part of an estate developed 1907-1914 largely to provide holiday homes for Scottish gentry.
