Slate roof, left hand west end gabled, right hand east end hipped. Rear wing has grouted slate roof with gabled end. 4 early crested ridge tiles on main range and some others reused on rear wing. Rendered chimney stacks. Plan: 3 room and through passage plan, lower end to right. Rear lateral stacks to hall and lower end and truncated gable end stack heating inner room. The stacks may be later additions. Later front porch to passage doorway and long rear wing behind hall forming overall T-shape plan but not at precise right angles to main range. Small C20 outshut behind main range. Exterior: 2 storeys. South front has slightly cracked front wall with projection at central change of plane. Right hand corner has low raking buttress. 4 window range. Small late C19 or C20 2-light casements with glazing bars. Ground floor window to left of centre and right hand window are C20. Ground floor left window has old hollow-chamfered frame with stooling for missing mullion. To right of centre rendered stone porch with hipped slate roof and C20 glazed outer doors. Inner doorway has original chamfered timber doorframe with segmental head and old nail-studded door with wrought iron hinges. Rear wing is 2 storeys and has range of C19 and C20 casement contours and C20 glazed extension probably converted from an outbuilding. Interior: Roughly chamfered ceiling beam in lower end room. Plank and muntin screen on either side of passage. Lower side screen has scratch moulding to muntins, roll and hollow moulded head beam and 2 cranked head doorways, one with original door screen on hall side of passage has muntins roll moulded on passage side and chamfered on hall side, the head beam roll-moulded and cranked head doorway with old plank door. 2 ceiling beams in hall, one chamfered on one side only with hollow step stops; the other beam chamfered on one side and moulded on other side. The screen between hall and inner room has been removed but moulded head beam survives. Hall fireplace has unchamfered timber lintel and stone rubble jambs. Hall front window has moulded lintel. Inner room has rounded rear corner. The main roof was entirely replaced in C20, but the feet of 3 earlier principals remain at the front, 2 with holes for threaded purlins and one with short curved foot.
