SWIMBRIDGE SS 63 SW 8/176 Barn and stables with loft over approximately 50 metres east of Marsh Farmhouse
GV II
Barn and stables with loft over. Probably late C17. Unrendered stone rubble and cob. Corrugated iron roof with gable ends. Rectangular on plan with stables with loft over at left end. External stone steps at left end to loft plank door with corrugated iron canopy to steps supported on timber posts. Stable plank door to ground floor to right. Large double barn doors to right side with row of pigeon holes above extending to left and right. Opposing plank doors to rear. C17 ovolo moulded timber mullion window of 2 lights at left gable end with loft plank door above. Principals with short curved to 2 trusses over stable end with threaded purlins and mortices to the soffits of the blades for collars, 5 other pegged trusses with straight principals of lighter scantling over barn end with side- pegged collars.
