Nos 46B and 48B. Outbuilding parallel west of Nos 46B and 48B SX 7344 1/71

At rear of Nos 46 & 48, Nos 46B and 48B, probably Cl6 or earlier, may be the building recently found to contain C14 cruck, and connected with the monks of Buckfast Abbey, stone roughly coursed, rectangular with short crosswing with gable north west, moderate pitch with pudlogholes, and casement window, remainder of west face includes casements with glazing bars irregularly placed at ground and 1st floor, archway with chamfer, 2-panel door and massive chimney. Outbuilding, parallel, west, probably C17 or earlier rectangle on plan, narrow coursed stone 2 storey, slate roof hipped on new roof trusses. East face includes 3 2-light wood mullioned barred openings under eaves and 3 windows casements of various types, at ground floor with wide doorway with hewn wood triple lintol. Now used as stores and workshop.
Nos 42 to 84 (even), No 92 and The Shambles form a group.
