SPARKWELL
Parkside Farm House
II
Farmhouse. Circa C16/C17. Roughcast stone rubble. Slate hipped roof. One-and-a-half storeys. Four window range. C19 two- and three-light casements with glazing bars. Ground floor left hand two chamfered granite window frames, one of three-lights, the other of two-lights but the mullion missing in the two-light window. Four attic windows through eaves, with flat heads. Plank door to right of centre with C20 gabled porch. Two chimneystacks on rear wall, one is very large and with set-offs. Later rear lean-to. Rear wing forming L-shaped plan and with external stone stairs to loft.
Interior: Fielded panelling either side of cross passage. Chamfered ceiling beams. Fireplace blocked.
