Details
NEWTON ST CYRES SX 89 NE 5/1 Bailey - - II Farmhouse. C16 or C17 core and plan, refurbished with C19 appearance. Plastered cob on rubble footings with cob or stone stacks topped with C20 brick. Roof of C20 slate, hipped each end. Apparently 3-room and through passage plan with inner room to east. Massive lateral stack projecting from rear (north) of hall and gable stack of cob projecting from lower end to left. Late C19 single storey service wing added to front of inner room to right. Otherwise 2 storeys. Left of service block 3 window front of C19 and C20 casements (some with glazing bars) and central door. Early features hidden inside behind C19 and C20 plasterwork and fittings.
