II
Warrener's lodge and park folly; now a ruin. Circa late C18, after Capability Brown provided designs in circa 1770 for a landscape park for Henry Herbert 1st Lord Carnarvon. Rendered brick. Triangular plan with large polygonal turret on each corner. The east wall between the turrets has collapsed and the building is now roofless. Gothick style. One bay between the turrets has embattled parapet, the south west side with pointed 2-centred arch doorway and blind quatrefoil above, the north side has blocked pointed arch window on each floor. The large polygonal corner turrets have angle shafts, blind lancets and top stages with snarl roundels and cornices. Parts of the top stages of the north east and the south east turrets and the east wall between have collapsed. INTERIOR: The floors and the roof are missing.
