Mill house and former mill. Circa early C19. Stone rubble walls, part colour-
washed and slate hung at the front of the house. Gable-ended asbestos slate roof.
House has projecting rendered rubble stack at right gable end.
Plan: The house and mill were originally a very short distance apart, set at right
angles to each other. The mill wheel was set on the opposite gable end of the mill
to the house. The house has an L-shaped plan with 2 equal-sized rooms at the front,
behind the right-hand room is a small unheated wing.
Exterior: 2 storey mill house. Symmetrical 3-window front: 1st floor windows are
C20 pvc sashes, later C19 4-pane horned sashes to ground floor. C19 brick gabled
porch at centre with original 6 panelled door behind.
The mill is set behind the left-hand end of the house and is now joined to it by a
1-storey C20 addition. It is 3 storeys high with a central gable above the 2nd
floor window. On the 1st floor is a central double glazed door with a C20 window to
either side and below is a C20 2-light casement to the left with a stable type door
to its right. The mill wheel, which was at the left gable end, has been removed and
the mill is no longer in use.
Interior inaccessible at time of survey.
