Farmhouse. Mid-late C17, with alterations of mid C19 and some C20 alterations.
Granite rubble with granite dressings. Slurried slate roof with gable ends; gable
end stack in granite with cornice to right and brick gable end stack to left.
Plan : 3-room plan, with C20 porch leading directly into the room to right, which is
heated by a gable end stack, 2 rooms to left, the end room heated by a gable end
stack and the central room, which appears to be unheated. Outshut, probably of C19,
to rear of room to right.
2 storeys and 3 windows, ground floor has 4-pane sash to right, set in chamfered
granite surround with remains of stoolings for mullion; C20 porch with corrugated
asbestos roof to left and C20 2-light casement to left of porch. At first floor, C20
2-light casement to left and 2 early C20 2-light casements to right. At the left
side, the wall is stepped back to the left of the flue. At the right side, there is
a 9-pane C20 light at ground floor to left; wide external stack, with curved oven at
the base to right. The outshut is to right, of single storey, with 3-pane light.
The rear of the outshut has a small 2-light casement on the inner side. The rear of
the house has a half-glazed door leading into the central room, with a C20 light
above. The right, 2 C20 windows at ground floor and one at first floor to right.
