Group of 11 bollards and 2 lamp posts. Late C19. Cast iron. The bollards are about
one metre high, slender cast iron fluted columns with circular base and 2 rectangular
blocks set on the shafts; the upper block has either a golden hand with silver ball
representing the St Columb hurling, or a shield with 15 besants, the tinners' arms.
Acorn finials. Some bollards have blank blocks.
The 2 lamp posts each have a fluted shaft on moulded base, with cross arms at the
top, lantern with finial.
The bollards and lamp posts are arranged around the north west side of Union Square
and form a good group with the buildings in the square.
