Stona memorial immediately west of Holy Well of St Credan
GV II
Memorial cross. Dated 1910. By John Stona. Dressed granite monolithic wheel-head over stepped granite base. Round-on-plan inscribed lower base carries an octagonal plinth surmounted by a tall square-on-plan cross shaft with chamfered corners. The wheel-head has cross in relief to one face and Greek cross to the opposite face.
Inscription incised to side of base: TO THE GLORY OF GOD 1910 JOHN STONE.
Inscription to top of base (inset lead letters): OF YOUR CHARITY PRAY FOR THE SICK, THE SORROWFUL, THE TEMPTED, THE SINNING & THOSE WHO REST IN CHRIST.
