WERRINGTON SX 38 NW 9/306 Gate-piers, gates, walls and - railings at south entrance to Church of St Martin and St Giles GV II Gate-piers, gates and flanking walls and railings at south entrance to churchyard of Church of St Martin and St Giles. Circa late C19, probably contemporary with the restoration of the church in 1890-1. Snecked stone rubble and granite. Square-on- plan gate-piers flanked by curved walls with terminal pier on left. Pair of rusticated granite gate-piers with moulded plinth and moulded caps surmounted by lanterns. Curved walls of snecked slate stone with moulded granite coping and iron railings and terminal pier on left, of similar style to the gate-piers.
