SW 62 SW BREAGE 7/18 Farm buildings and adjoining farm yard walls 18 metres north east of Tranno Farmhouse GV II
Barn and other farm buildings linked to farmyard walls. Circa early-mid C19. Killas rubble with granite quoins, jambstones and lintels. Hipped slurried mostly scantle slate roof over principal barn and the single storey building on the east side. Plan: roughly rectangular, south sloping farmyard with principal rectangular barn over shippon on the north side, single storey buildings forming the east and west sides linked by a rubble coped rubble wall at the south side. The principal barn has symmetrical south front with 6 ground floor doorways, central first floor loading doorway and small window at left and right. Below the loading doorway the doorways are paired, those below the windows are wide with double doors and the doorways at extreme left and right are narrow. Ledged doors. At the left hand (west) end is a loading door approached by granite steps. Interior not inspected. Part of a planned group of farm building of similar date to and relating to Tranno Farmhouse, the whole group unextended and little altered since the C19. Situated in unspoiled open coastal farmland.
