GV II
Small house. C18 remodelling or rebuilding of C17 house, extended circa mid C18 and early C19. Granite moorstone rubble with partly dressed granite quoins, jambstones and lintels. Corrugated iron roof formerly thatched with stone chimneys over the gable ends and over the cross wall, originally the left hand gable end. Originally a 2 room plan with probably hall, right, and parlour left with through passage between. Extended circa mid C18 with one room on the left with a stair turret at the rear and extended in the C19 with a shallow lean-to pantry at the rear of the original part. Uninhabited at the time of the survey 1986. 2 storeys. Overall slightly irregular 3 window south-east front. The original 2 window front, right, has roughly central doorway with ledged door, regular grouping oil windows midway to the walling, left, and irregularly disposed windows a little way to the: right of the doorway. The ground floor right hand window has a straight- chamfered 3-light mullioned window head over. The C18 extension, left has irregularly disposed windows to balance those on the right of the whole front and a doorway on the right. Some 4-pane sashes. Interior has old moulded beams to the ground floor and probably a C18 roof structure (not inspected).
