5/59 A range of farm buildings - immediately south south west of Tresahor Veor
GV II
Range of farm buildings including a barn, shippons, stables and cartsheds with lofts above and an implement shed with a granary above. Dated 1858. Granite rubble with granite dressings. Grouted scantle slate roof; half-hipped barn roof, gable ends to granary wing and hipped end to stable wing. Plan: Overall T-shaped on plan. Long low 2 storey range with a granary over an implement shed at the left hand (south) end and stables and cartshed at the right hand (north) end; adjoining at right angles at the centre of the east front the barn with shippons below and a stable or engine house addition at the east end. Exterior: The barn has 3 shippon doorways on the north front with a loading doorway above in the centre of the first floor flanked by 2 windows; to the left of the loading doorway a granite tablet with initials C.M. and date 1858. At the back of the barn a large flight of granite external stairs with projecting granite treads. The stable of engine house at the east end of the barn has a lower gable-ended roof. The stable and cartshed range at right angles to the right (north) has a segmentally arched cartshed with a keystone, and stable doors on the ground floor with loft windows above. At right angles to the rear (south) of the barn the granary range has an open-fronted implement shed with a timber-frame front to the granary above which was originally slate hung; and a flight of granite external stairs at the left (south) end to the granary door. Interior: Not inspected.
