House. Late C16/early C17 origins, C19 and C20 alterations. Whitewashed and
rendered cob, slate roof gabled at ends, rendered projecting stack at right gable
end. Original plan probably 3 room and through passage, the inner room rebuilt
and now a separate property. 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 3 window front with off-
centre C20 door under rectangular fanlight further entrance on front at left.
Ground floor window to right of front door 8-pane horned C19 sash. Window at rear
opposed to front door was formerly rear door of through passage and retains timber
lintel. Interior: Floor level of left-hand room raised. Timber lintel to doorway
on front at left is chamfered with wide runout stops. Jointed shouldered arched
timber doorway in ground floor room right in rear wall. Similar doorway in right
gable wall at first floor. Roof trusses are raised crucks formerly with threaded
purlins and diagonally-set ridge. Cambered collar mortised into principals.
*N.B. There are 3 properties with the address of no.3, Corner Gardens. This
property faces south, the owner is Mr. Miller.
