7/56 Barn Orchard, Barn Orchard - Cottage and outbuilding adjoining at east end of Barn Orchard Cottage - II

Iron foundry converted into pair of houses and adjoining outbuilding Mid C19. Stone rubble with brick dressings. Slate roofs gabled at left end, hipped at right end. 2 adjoining ranges, that to the east outbuilding under taller slate roof, that to the west 2 storeys, 3 storeys in the 2 westernmost bays. Long 5 + 6 window front with 2 cart entrances in east range, the westernmost entrance now blocked for conversion to Barn Orchard Cottage. Entrance on front into outbuilding at west end, entrance on front into Barn Orchard Cottage, further entrance on front at east end into Barn Orchard. Windows in 6 window front: C20 20-pane horizontal pivot windows. 2 second floor windows to Barn Orchard have 5 narrow lights divided by glazing bars. Windows in 5 windows front 25-pane lights with high transom, 5-panes above transom. Interior not inspected. Originally Box's iron foundry which manufactured kitchen ranges. The foundry is adjacent to the Bude Canal and the Marhamchurch incline plane.
