SW 7525 MANACCAN
7/57 Barn approx 50m south east of - Kestle Barton Farmhouse and Kestle Cottage GV II Barns, shippons and loose boxes. C18 and C19. Mostly stone rubble with dressed granite jambs and lintels but part with some cob and wooden lintels. Half-hipped scantle slate roofs on 3 levels. Overall L-shaped plan with short arm of L adjoining another earlier barn (separate item) right (north) and long arm of L built in front of left-hand side at 3 successive dates each at a lower level, with the final phase (east) single storied. 2 storeys. East and north fronts. East front (partly cob) has doorway, middle, with window over. North front has from left: single storey building left with wide, partly blocked doorway left, central doorway and window right, low 2-storey building with doorway far left and right, central window with brick relieving arch over and 2 square first floor pitching eyes; right-hand barn with doorway left and right and ground and first floor windows, middle. Old ledged doors, some with ventilation slits. Interiors not inspected. Part of a virtually complete group of C18 and C19 farm buildings relating to a circa C16-C17 farmhouse.
