4/227 Chest tomb at approx 12m south west of Church of Saint Mylor
GV II
Chest tomb. Early C19. For the children of Thomas C. Barron R.N. of H.M. Packet Service and of Julia his wife. Dressed white limestone. Square-on-plan tall classical style chest over square platform. Chest has chamfered base, plinth wide fielded 'dado' panels with concave corners, ovolo 'chair-rail'moulding above and taller bolection moulded panels over; corner pilasters with horizontal flutes,moulded cornice and plain square lid. The children listed on the incised east panel are: Fanny Sophia, died 1821 aged 14 Eliz Suzanna, died 1823 aged 27) Emma Alice, died 1823 aged 27 ) (Probably twins) and Eliz Goinnavero, died 1827 aged 19.
