GV II

Vicarage now private house. Circa early-mid C19. Shale rubble with dressed granite sills and shallow brick arches. Dry Delabole slate roofs with wide eaves: main roof with tall brick chimneys with plinths and cornices over gable ends and further roof on right set back from front with axial brick stack over cross wall and hip on right (east). Cast iron ogee gutters. Unusual plan of 2 overlapping rectangles of single depth. Main 2-room reception area stands forward and to left of stair and service wing right. The main block to left comprises 2 equal reception rooms with through passage between linked to further passage , under outshut,behind right-hand room leading to stair, right, and 2-room service end beyond, and with later single-storey lean-to at far right (east) end. 2 storeys. Overall 6-window south front of symmetrical 3-window part with central doorway on left and asymmetrical 3-window stair and service area front set back on right. Original hornless sashes except 3-horned replacement sashes at service end. Cast iron latticed porch with entablature and wide cornice, probably made at Perran Foundry, qv, nearby. C20 door. 16-pane sashes, except for tall 18-pane mid floor sash to left of service end, and four 20-panes sashes with higher meeting rails to rear of service end. Interior not inspected.
