House and adjoining cottage. C18, cottage extended circa early C19, C20 exten-
sions at rear and on left. Cob over a stone rubble plinth. Frogmore Cottage is
rendered, wooden lintels. Wheatreed thatch, corrugated iron over thatch of C18
part of No 2 Frogmore; asbestos slate over C19 wing of No 2 Frogmore. Brick axial
and gable stacks. Plan: C18 corrugated asbestos over rear lean-to; natural slate
over lean-tos of Frogmore Cottage plan of 2-room house, on the left, and 1-room-
plan cottage, on the right. House has central entrance between the original
rooms; cottage has straight flight stair left of doorway and direct access to
room. 1-room-plan wing added circa early C19 on right of cottage, and thick cross
walls of C19 extension at rear of cottage, otherwise C20 lean-to extensions at
rear of cottage and house and on left of house. Exterior: 2 storeys. House
(left) has symmetrical 3-window front with central doorway plus lean-to on left,
C20 door and windows. Cottage (right) has 2-window front with doorway on the
left. Old ledged split door, old 2-light casements to middle of original cottage;
C20 window to ground floor of C19 extension (right) and original 16-pane hornless
sash above. Interior: No2 Frogmore only inspected. Virtually unaltered with
original moulded ceiling joists; plank and muntin partition dividing original
stair from chamber; original plank doors with old latches, and feet of original
trusses visible. Fireplaces partly blocked. C19 iron grate in one chamber.
